Good read: Study in the Netherlands
Are you an international student seeking to study in the Netherlands for a bachelor’s or master’s degree? Then this is for you. This scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.
University tuition ranges between 6000 – 15000 Euros for bachelor’s degree programs and between 8000 – 20000 Euros for master’s degree programs. For private institutions, these fees are higher. The scholarship amounts to 5,000 Euros. This would cover 33%-83% and 25%-63% for either a bachelor’s or master’s degree programs respectively which is very considerable.
This is advantageous as it helps reduce costs that would have been incurred before settling for studies and also create available funds for living costs before getting a job while studying – for those who would want to study and also work.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your nationality is non-EEA (European Economic Area).
- You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
- You meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice. You can find these on the website of the institution.
- You do not have a degree from an education institution in the Netherlands.
Period of Scholarship
The grant is awarded for the first year of your study only.
